Restaurant “La Cochera” (The Garage) at the Loma de Dilar.

The area of Loma de Dilar is getting a new restaurant, “La Cochera”, with an exterior terrace and space for 80 people (and can host up to 300). The restaurant is located in the lower station of the chairlift Monachil. This new restaurant is a legacy of the World Championships of Freestyle and Snowboard. This was a dead space used before for storing chairs. The restaurant will open on weekends and holidays, offering a menu of fresh pasta and salad. An exterior staircase with the Montebajo kiosk connects the terrace. The Kiosk will also have a change of face and maintain its terrace. This is a space for the youngsters that use the Sulayr park and the athletes and the families of those who practice at the Prado de las Montjas de la Loma de Dilar trail at the end of the season.

Webcams in real time, video and Timelapse

This year the webcams installed around the resort are showing real time video streaming – check them out on this link. There are three streaming cameras at Pradollano – 2,100 m, Borreguiles – 2,700 m, and La Laguna 2,600 m.

Snow enthusiasts can observe the trails and lifts in real time with a VGA quality that adapts to any mobile platform. The system will allow pausing the image and see later the day movie. One will be able to observe how a snowstorm is piling up, an activity, or people just going about their day on skis or snowboards.

Three lift ticket-selling machines

This season there will be three new machines for selling lift tickets in Sierra Nevada. One will be located next to the exit of the Al Andalus rental parking lot with direct access to the Jara chairlift. This will help the users of the snowparks or the intermediate or expert skiers that want to start skiing on the black slopes. This is also very comfortable for the parents of the kids that go to the nursery, as they can access the lift from the parking lot. In this machine, also the non-skiers will be able to purchase their tickets for the cable car without having to go to the general cashiers – direct access by Al Andalus).

The only tickets that will be needed to purchase at the ticket offices are those where you need to present your documentation (as per example, for a family formula).

There will be two other lift tickets selling machines at the superior station of the Parador chairlift and at the middle station of same chairlift. This is to ease the access of those clients lodged in hotels and apartments in the middle and high part of the village.
