Grischa Das Hotel Davos, the hotel located downtown Davos- Pratz, very near the train station and two minutes away from the Jakobshorn lift; with ninety-three rooms and suites, and five restaurants, is starting the season with great events for its guests. The hotel is also located 10 to 15 minutes walk from the Conference Center and the Ice Stadium.

On Saturday 9th December there will be an aperitif at 19.30 hs at the Davos Platz station, followed by the Grischa kitchen opening and lastly by a Grischa night with the band “The Hats” from Davos and DJ Rockford taking over the dance floor.
The new hotel Talisa in Vail has been opened after an expenditure of USD60 million for its renovation and re-brand. The hotel replaces the old Vail Cascade Resort, and will remain under the management of Two Roads Hospitality, the largest owner and operator of independent hotels, resorts and residents in the United States.

This fall, Hotel Talisa will be the first ski destination property in North America to join The Luxury Collection portfolio of world-renowned hotels and resorts.
Courmayeur is opening the ski season this Sunday 25th November. This is a partial opening on the Checrouit side of the mountain with the following lifts:
-Funivia Courmayeur (tram)
-Telecabina Dolonne (cablecar)
-Telecabina Checrouit (cablecar)
-Seggiovia Maison Vieille (chairlift)
-Seggiovia Gabba (chairlift)
-Seggiovia Bertolini (chairlift)
The trails that will be opened are Internazionale and Lazey.
There is a unique rate for this Saturday 25th of 25 EUR. Note that this rate does not include access to Skyway.

Lifts for this opening date have to be purchased at the Telecabina Dolonne on or before this Friday 24th November – the ticket office opens from 9:30 till 12:30 and from 14:30 till 18:00.
Lech Zürs am Arlberg is starting its season on Friday 1st December. Now with the Flexenbhan cable car opened last year between Zürs and Stuben/Rauz, with 305 km of ski slopes and 88 lifts and cable cars, this is one of the biggest ski areas in the world.
During Advent there are three major events available under the heading “Go White”: the “Snow & Safety Conference”, the “Arlberg Weinberg” gourmet fair and the popular “Fantastic Gondolas” clubbing. Advent markets, Christmas lectures and Advent carol singing also take place, filling the town with Christmas magic and making guests and locals alike yearn for this season.
The picturesque car-free resort of Saas-Fee, is located at the end of the Saas Valley in the Valais Region of Switzerland. With 147km/91mi of prepared slopes, the ski area offers a winter playground for beginners and advanced skiers alike. The ski area’s altitude ranges from 1,800m/5,905ft to 3,500m/11,482ft and offers consistent snow levels that are the envy of other resorts. The Allalin mountain, at an altitude of 3,500m/11,482ft, is home to the highest revolving restaurant and underground cable-car in the world.
This is the second time that Saas-Fee is launching a promotional ski season pass, with a help of a crowfunding project. This year, the ski season pass, called WinterCARD is available for CHF233, giving its owner guaranteed and unlimited access to the slopes from November to April. This rate allows one to start skiing for free after the 3rd day!

Val di Fiemme is starting its season on 25th November, with a great snow base, as it has received 15 cm of new snow, totalling 48 cm in the mountains and 20 cm in the valley.
December is marked with its Christmas market – specially the one at Cavalese, ‘the Cavalese Magnifiscent Christmas Market’, located at the Palazzo dellla Magnifica Communità, offering wood, iron and ceramic crafts, local produced syrups, juices, dried fruit, creams and ointments, local speck and salami, local beer, sweets and chocolates and all traditional food and drink, from hot chocolate, to mulled wine, waffles to orzo soup. The market is opened all weekends from 19th December till 6th January.
The time of the year has come for many of the Austrian Ski Resorts to open – many have opened some time ago, thanks to their glaciers. Here is a list of when all resorts are opening, and those that are already opened.
Two of the resorts of Dolomiti Superski will start early this season due to great snowfalls. They are Cortina D’Ampezzo and Tre Cime (Three Peaks) – Both areas are part of the Dolomiti Superski lift ticket, that access over 1200 acres of terrain under one ticket.
The saunas and outdoor swimming pools at the spas of the exclusive hotels on the Seiser Alm mountain pasture are surrounded by unparalleled natural landscapes.
The mountain pastures of Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm offer excellent toboggan runs with spectacular views of the surrounding mountaintops Sassolungo/Langkofel and Sassopiatto/Plattkofel.
Val di Fiemme, Arabba, Civetta and Kronplatz are planning their opening for 25th November, followed by Obereggen on December 1st; Alta Badia, Carezza, Marmolada, San Martino di Castrozza/Passo Rolle, Alpe Lusia/San Pellegrino on December 2nd; Val Gardena, Alpe di Siusi, Val di Fassa on December 6th; and December 7th on Valle Isarco.
Dolomiti Superski has an excellent snow-making capacity, with more than 90% of the pistes covered, if nature is not generous, with artificial snow. This season seems that a great snowfall has fallen to help the start of the season, which is great news!
